Do signal boosters work in homes and small offices?
Yes — a Nextivity Cel-Fi GO booster fixes poor mobile signal at home. A single-network Cel-Fi GO G41 starts from £1,795, and a Cel-Fi GO G43 covering EE, O2 and VodafoneThree starts from £5,995. Most home installs are completed in a single day, using the loft, eaves or cupboards to keep everything tidy.
The problem
Why is mobile signal poor in homes and small offices?
Thick walls and older construction
Solid stone, brick and period properties can block most of the signal that reaches the outside of the house.
Modern insulation and glazing
Foil-backed insulation and coated double or triple glazing reflect mobile signal, so new builds can be surprisingly poor indoors.
Basements and loft conversions
Rooms below ground or tucked under the roof often miss out entirely.
Rural and edge-of-coverage locations
Where outdoor signal is weak, a booster with a roof-mounted donor antenna captures what is available and brings it indoors.

FAQs
Questions about signal boosters for homes and small offices
Will a booster reach my basement or loft conversion?
Yes. The Cel-Fi unit is positioned to serve the rooms that need it, and the donor antenna is placed where outdoor signal is strongest. Basements and loft rooms are common reasons customers call Zonegen.
How much does a home signal booster cost?
A Cel-Fi GO G41 (one network) starts from £1,795. Adding a second network with a linked G41 brings typical equipment costs to around £3,090. A Cel-Fi GO G43 covering all three UK networks starts from £5,995.
Do I need one booster per network?
A Cel-Fi GO G41 boosts one network — ideal if everyone at home uses the same one. VOXI and SMARTY now run on VodafoneThree, so one G41 can cover those too. For several networks, Zonegen links two G41s or fits a G43.
Isn't Wi-Fi calling enough?
Wi-Fi calling helps some handsets, but it relies on your broadband and each phone and network supporting it. It does not fix mobile data outdoors, texts on some devices, or visitors' phones. A booster restores proper 4G and 5G signal for everyone.
Are home signal boosters legal in the UK?
Only some. Cheap online amplifiers are often illegal and can interfere with the network. Nextivity Cel-Fi boosters meet Ofcom's licence-exemption rules for indoor mobile repeaters and are network-safe.
