Warehouses, Factories & Distribution Centres

Large steel and concrete structures are notorious signal blackspots. Zonegen provides complete in-building coverage for warehouses, factories and distribution centres — ensuring voice, data and IoT devices stay connected across every square metre of your operation.

  • Full coverage in steel-framed and concrete industrial buildings
  • Supports handheld scanners, tablets and logistics management systems
  • Scalable multi-antenna distribution for any floorplate size
  • Reliable connectivity for warehouse management systems and telematics
  • Free consultation — we size the solution to your building

Do signal boosters work in warehouses, factories and distribution centres?

Yes — Cel-Fi QUATRA systems are designed for large steel-framed buildings. One QUATRA Network Unit covers up to around 6,000 m², or about 12,000 m² with a Fibre Hub, so most warehouses need one system. Zonegen sizes the design at survey and quotes a fixed price.

Why is mobile signal poor in warehouses, factories and distribution centres?

Metal cladding and steel frames

Steel-clad sheds behave like a Faraday cage, blocking signal from outdoor masts.

High racking and stock

Full racking and dense stock absorb signal, so coverage changes as the warehouse fills.

Very large floorplates

A single booster cannot reach the far end of a distribution centre — a distributed system is needed.

Mobile-dependent operations

Handheld scanners, tablets, vehicle telematics and lone-worker devices all fail in dead zones.

Which signal booster is right for warehouses, factories and distribution centres?

Zonegen recommends the system after a free consultation — never more than your building needs. Prices shown are starting prices; your exact price is confirmed after consultation.

Cel-Fi QUATRA EVO

Quoted after survey

Active DAS hybrid for 1 or 2 networks over CAT6 with Power over Ethernet. Up to around 6,000 m² per Network Unit, about 12,000 m² with a Fibre Hub.

Best for: Most warehouses and factories — 1 or 2 networks across up to around 12,000 m².

Cel-Fi QUATRA 4000e

Quoted after survey

Enterprise system for all UK networks. Up to 12 Coverage Units per system, and the Fibre Range Extender bridges up to 2 km between buildings.

Best for: Large or multi-building sites needing every UK network.

How does a Zonegen installation work?

  1. 1

    Free consultation

Tell us about the building, the signal problem and which networks you need. You get a price guide with no obligation.

  2. 2

    Site survey

An engineer tests signal inside and out, assesses construction and plans cable routes. The survey cost is refunded if you go ahead.

  3. 3

    Installation

Your Cel-Fi system is installed neatly and commissioned. Small sites are usually done in a day; larger sites are scheduled around you.

  4. 4

    Testing and aftercare

Signal is tested throughout before handover. Optional monitoring keeps an eye on performance remotely.

Questions about signal boosters for warehouses, factories and distribution centres

Can a booster cover a large steel-framed warehouse?

Yes. A Cel-Fi QUATRA Network Unit feeds up to six Coverage Units over CAT6, covering up to around 6,000 m². Adding a Fibre Hub doubles that to about 12,000 m² with up to 12 Coverage Units.

Will a booster help handheld scanners and logistics devices?

Yes, for devices that use mobile networks. Scanners, tablets and telematics with SIMs on the boosted network get the same improved 4G and 5G signal as phones.

Do we need all three networks boosted?

Not always. If your devices and staff use one or two networks, a QUATRA EVO is often the most cost-effective choice. For mixed workforces or visiting drivers, a QUATRA 4000e covers all three.

How long does a warehouse installation take?

Large installs are scoped at survey and scheduled around your shifts so operations keep running.

How much does a warehouse signal booster cost?

Every warehouse is different, so Zonegen gives a firm quote after an on-site survey. The survey cost is refunded if you go ahead.
