Data Centres & Enterprise
Data centres present unique signal challenges — dense metallic infrastructure, shielded server rooms and strict RF environment requirements. Zonegen provides carefully designed in-building solutions that deliver reliable cellular connectivity without compromising facility integrity.
- Signal delivery in shielded and metal-dense environments
- Supports engineer mobile devices and remote monitoring systems
- Designed around your RF and change-control requirements
- Works alongside existing network and security infrastructure
- Engineered to your facility management team specification
Do signal boosters work in data centres and enterprise facilities?
Yes — Zonegen designs Nextivity Cel-Fi systems for metal-dense data halls, plant rooms and secure facilities. Engineers get reliable mobile signal for calls, MFA and remote tools. Designs are agreed with your facilities team, and every system is quoted after survey.
The problem
Why is mobile signal poor in data centres and enterprise facilities?
Metal-dense data halls
Racks, cages, containment and raised floors block and reflect signal.
Secure, windowless buildings
Hardened shells with no windows let almost no outdoor signal in.
Engineers need their phones
On-site engineers rely on mobile calls, MFA codes and remote tools.
Strict change control
Any installation must fit your RF, security and change-management processes.
The solution
Which signal booster is right for data centres and enterprise facilities?
Zonegen recommends the system after a free consultation — never more than your building needs. Prices shown are starting prices; your exact price is confirmed after consultation.
Cel-Fi QUATRA EVO
Quoted after survey
Active DAS hybrid for 1 or 2 networks over CAT6 with Power over Ethernet. Up to around 6,000 m² per Network Unit, about 12,000 m² with a Fibre Hub.
Best for: Data halls and plant areas where one or two networks are needed.
Cel-Fi QUATRA 4000e
Quoted after survey
Enterprise system for all UK networks. Up to 12 Coverage Units per system, and the Fibre Range Extender bridges up to 2 km between buildings.
Best for: Large or multi-building campuses needing every network.
How it works
How does a Zonegen installation work?
- 1
Free consultation
Tell us about the building, the signal problem and which networks you need. You get a price guide with no obligation.
- 2
Site survey
An engineer tests signal inside and out, assesses construction and plans cable routes. The survey cost is refunded if you go ahead.
- 3
Installation
Your Cel-Fi system is installed neatly and commissioned. Small sites are usually done in a day; larger sites are scheduled around you.
- 4
Testing and aftercare
Signal is tested throughout before handover. Optional monitoring keeps an eye on performance remotely.
FAQs
Questions about signal boosters for data centres and enterprise facilities
Will a booster interfere with data centre RF requirements?
Cel-Fi only rebroadcasts licensed mobile frequencies, and it is network-safe. It does not use Wi-Fi bands. Zonegen agrees antenna positions and power levels with your facilities team.
Can you work within our security and change control?
Yes. Access, method statements and installation windows are agreed in advance.
Which networks can be boosted?
QUATRA EVO supports one or two networks; QUATRA 4000e covers EE, O2 and VodafoneThree.
Does the system need an internet connection?
It is not strictly required, but it is recommended so the system can receive automatic firmware updates. This can be agreed with your IT security team.
How is a data centre system priced?
Each facility is surveyed and quoted individually. The survey cost is refunded if you go ahead.
